Join cyclist and blogger (and East Coast Greenway NJ Committee Member), Silvia Ascarelli at the Princeton REI, to learn from her tips on where to bike, how to find your route, and what to pack. Silvia blogs about her travels by bike, including on the East Coast Greenway segments of the Circuit Trails on her blog, Exploring by Bicycle. The Princeton REI is located very close to the D&R Canal State Park Trail of the Circuit.
For this route, our friends at REI join us to explore a beautiful stretch of the expanding Chester Valley Trail. We'll then make our way into Valley Forge park & take time to visit with history. This route will cover roughly 12 miles, out-and-back.
In celebration of Opening Day for Trails on May 20, 2018, Camden County is hosting a Rails-with-Trails Pop Up event. The event will take place on Atlantic Ave from Merchant in Audubon through Haddon Heights to Clements Bridge in Barrington. The event will close down Atlantic Ave from 10 AM – 2PM with a press event starting at 10am, then open to the public at 11AM for family fun. The event will encourage attendees to walk the 2 mile trail with an interactive map, fun facts, food and family fun along the way. The Rails-with-Trails event is a preview of what is to come once the Rails-with-Trails project is completed bringing multi-use trails through Camden County towns.
