Lawrence Hopewell Trail’s Halloween event

will feature bike rides, face painting, live music, treats and more

For the fourth year in a row, the Lawrence Hopewell Trail will host the Halloween themed Trail and Treat Ride on Sunday, October 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Village Park in Lawrence Township.  Children aged 12 and under and their families are invited to wear Halloween costumes, decorate their bikes, participate in treat bike rides and enjoy live music by the Princeton children’s band, School of Rock.  Other activities will include face painting, treats, and trick-or-treat goody bags.

“Children six and older are invited on a mile-long ride, with a shorter, approximately quarter-mile, loop for younger children,” said LHT Programming and PR Committee Co-chair Jill Young.

“We will offer a variety of Halloween-themed activities including Halloween crafts,” added Lindsey Bohra, the other chair of Programming and PR Committee.

Participants should gather at Village Park at the Bergen Street entrance/parking lot starting at 3 p.m. Parents with bicycle trailers are welcome, and parent supervision is required. Walking, scootering, roller skating, and stroller participants also welcome.

The fee for this event is $5 per child two and older.  Children under two are free.  Parents are encouraged to pre-register their children online by visiting the LHT’s website, https://Lhtrail.org/TrailandTreat18.  Onsite registration will also be possible, space permitting.
