Paddle the Schuylkill River Sojourn this summer for as little as one day or multiple days! Enjoy the Sojourn as a family (kids 8 and up can participate) or bring a group of friends.

The Schuylkill River Sojourn is often described as summer camp since the outdoor expedition combines kayaking, camping, education, and games into one exciting adventure! The Sojourn is an annual 112-mile guided canoe/kayak trip on the Schuylkill River that begins in rural Schuylkill Haven and ends seven days later at Philadelphia’s Boathouse Row. Participants paddle 14-18 miles per day. Register for one day, any amount of individual days, or the entire week-long journey.

New Year, New Dates

The dates for this year’s Sojourn are June 18 to 24, 2022. The pre-Sojourn check-in will begin Friday evening (June 17, 2022) in Schuylkill Haven. The first day of paddling will begin on Saturday (June 18, 2022) and end the following Friday (June 24, 2022) in Philadelphia.

Sojourn Fees

Full Trip $695 per adult; $630 per child ages 8-15. Not recommended for children under 8.

Individual Days $110 per adult for Sat-Thurs. (Friday is $100, since no dinner is included); $90 per child ages 8-15 for Sat-Thurs. ($80 for Friday).

Late Fees – All registrations received after May 27, 2022, will be charged a $20 late fee. No registrations will be accepted after June 10, 2022.

Registration Opens in April

Registration for the full-trip (all 7 days) opens on April 1, 2022. If you are not registering for the full trip (signing up for 6 days or less), registration starts April 8, 2022.
